Saline worker of Pag

In the town of Pag there is a new old place to visit. 

In front of the old salt storage you can admire the beautiful statue presenting a saline worker.

The author Tomislav Kršnjavi cast it in the Ujević foundry in Zagreb.

Despite the fact that I work along the whole Croatian coast and always ready to show you all the beauties of my country,  this year I will spend most of the time in Split, as it is all about my thematic tour, that I have dedicated to our Croatian poet Marko Marulić.

My husband’s aunt gave him this beautiful lace when he was a young  boy. He treasured it so well as he knew that it will become one day a part of the world heritage.

I am happy to present it here, but much more about the art of making that unique lace you can find in our Croatian museums and in the town of Pag where it is still produced.

Presentation is essential for all activities we do.

If our activity is showing beauty of our surrounding to others, then we really have a lot to do, especially when the surrounding is in a process of changing due to modern needs.

When we are possibly going to loose something, we want to preserve it at least in pictures.

The boat rests in eternity united with the landscape telling us its own story.

Everything is presented with this moment, the green of algae and grasses, the green of future and hope, beige of sand and transience, blue of the sea and of memories, blue for eternity....
