I discovered art after my parents died. The art of Chinese calligraphy gave me tranquility I desperately needed, but also introduced me into the world of brushes, paper materials and different hand movements. After a while I added colors and shapes which led me into the art of watercolor. One of my first watercolors presents tulips in a vase made of Chinese letters meaning She. Today I do not add Chinese letters into my art but I constantly move my hand in the way I used to write calligraphy

springtime on my palme leave
when I think of spring, first I feel tired, than overwhelmed with heat. and then suddenly it comes and there it is, life all around, young leaves, blossoms...
my terrace gives me all year long pleasure with ever changing colours of life
how to put it on paper, that life....?
camera is not enough flexible, watercolour is too weak, oil too strong, but if I leave it in my mind, there it is, forever in full strength
